Happy New Year's Eve

I started blogging last January, it's hard to believe it has been a year! All in all, 2008 has been a good year. Just to highlight some of the best parts:

*We moved into a place that feels like home!
*The girls have made it through another year healthy and happy!
*Chad and I are still crazy about each other, or at least crazy!
*We made it through Christmas for the first time EVER with zero credit cards!
*We gave more this year than before, more consistently too. By far, we need A LOT more growth in this area, but we are making baby steps forward.
*Some areas blew-up in our personal lives and we handled it with wisdom and grace.

I'm one of those that like to set some type of New Years goal. So, here are my goals for this year:

1. To keep growing in the area of wisdom, and applying it. James tells us that we can ask God for wisdom and He will give it without finding fault. For some reason I love that! Maybe because a lot of the wisdom I need is because I have gotten myself in some sort of mess.
2. To be a mom that the girls know without a shadow of doubt loves them and believes in them.
3. To be a wife who lets Chad lead and learns to listen. (This may be one of those baby steps ones!)
4. To be more willing to invest in people. We are somewhat inclusive, we don't reach out as much as we should and let people become part of our real lives.

That's it. So do you write goals? If so, let me know if you posted them, I would love to see what they are!

I guess I have a few 'goals' for this year. As always, lose 25 pounds (that never seems to get off the list)

Your number 4 is an issue with me over the past few years. I've given of myself in friendships, only to get slammed at a later date. This year I would like to have people over and create a broder circle of friends.

Which leads me to my next goal. We most definitely need a bigger house so that I can have people over without having to sit on each others laps. (lol)

Have a great 2009

I can be a very inclusive person as well. Something I also feel a need to work on.

Great goals!

Happy New Year Jenny.

I only have one goal this year,

"seek first the kingdom and His righteousness ALL other things will be added unto you"

I believe this goal will satisfy any other goals that I need to accomplish this year.

Happy New Year Jenny! Hope it's a great one!

This will be a weird comment but I just saw your comment on my uncle Ken's blog. (He suffered a stroke back in November.)

Anyway, I've seen your picture around blogland and was caught by surprise to find someone familiar commenting on his blog. Do you go to church with him and Wendy Stephenson?

Just curious..:))
